How long do I need to keep my dog off a newly fertilized lawn?

I reseeded my lawn(if that matters) before laying the laying fertilizer. The fertilizer I used was in little 'pellet' form and I applied it with my seed spreader.

1. If the lawn is established, I would think you're fine after the first watering, as long as the pellets are washed in from the surface. If the lawn isn't completely established (a good, solid turf), the dog should be kept off the lawn until it is established.
2. It's a lawn, you dog just wants to help. I would wait until weather has dissolved the pellets and maybe a day or two longer if the fertilizer was inorganic or had a tandem herbicide with it.
