The Grass Doctor

whats better fertilizer or liquid plant food?

which product would you recommend i get for my plants? A few of my plants in my tank have no more roots. I take my plants out occasionally and check the roots if any of them are brown and dead. A few of them had all brown and dead roots, and i ripped them all out of the plants. The plants have lived without the roots for a few weeks. I want to buy a product to help them grow.

  1. try earthworms .. :P
  2. This depends on lighting and substrates also. Lighting for plants should be AT LEAST 1W/gallon...if this can't be managed plants may not be for you. Make sure it's a full spectrum bulb (flourescent) depending on your tank 2 to look at could be the FLORA-GLO or AQUA-GLO. Do some reseach on your plants also. They may be only "semi-aquatic", check the scientific names before common.. Also, NEVER put regular yard fertilizers on aquarium plants. I suggest Seachem Flouish, that's what i have used on my tanks for year. It seems to keep them healthy and growing well
