The Grass Doctor

an area of my buffalo lawn is covered by what appears to be some sort of web, it's a large patch abt 2mtr x 1m?

what is it? and how do I get rid of it, the grass is slowly dying.

1. Could it be Dollar Spot? This fungus appears as tan colored spots about the size of silver dollars. It thrives on dry, undernourished lawns. Small, white, cobwebby spots appear in the morning and turn brown later in the day. Infected areas may increase in number but they rarely grow together.
