My eyes burn every time I operate my Lawn Mower?
I just changed an oil about a month ago. At the start up the smoke comes out looks bit gray, but just at the start up.... then as I continue operating with in about 30 minutes, my eye start burning. What is going wrong? It never used to be this way. I have L130 John Deere bought it brand new in 2001 and has been taking good care of it. I just changed drive belt today and greased and checked parts. Operating fine, but just my eye burs! (from smoke).

- I don't think its from the smoke, you probably have grass allergies. take a benadryl or some kind of allergy pill next time before you start and see what happens.
- It could be allergies, take non-drowsy Benedryl formula (if your going to try that...the regular one really knocks you out ;0 ) FYI. Or it could be everything blowing up at your face is causing dry eye or small particles may fly into your eyes. Are you wearing any kind of protective eye gear? Moisturizing eye drops may help soothe your eyes or they have a moisturizing eye gel lubricant as well. If you wear contact lenses, they can easily cause you problems with all the allergens and smoke too, Try to cover up with some sort of protective gear for your face or taking a small break when eyes are bothering you and keep eyes lubricated.
