Weed Control in August?
My fiance and I recently split, and he always used to take care of the lawn. So now I'm left with a garage full of fertilizers and lawn chemicals and a lawn that needs attention. Neither of my neighbors take good care of their yards, so I've got creeping charlie sneaking in again. I've got some leftover Scotts Turf Builder 2 plus Weed Control. Is that something that I can use on my lawn right now? I've found some Summer Guard something or another, but I'm not sure of the weed controlling properties of this one. I'd like something I can use with a hose. Suggestions?

- careful. i did some damage when the time was not right, summer in NJ. I would wait to mid Sept. to begin to do the applications. if there is a bottle of round up just spary the eye sores for now try to to burn out your lawn with too much chemical. good luck.
- You can use weedkiller at any time of the year. It is better when plants are in full growth mode like right now. You don't need something you can use with a hose, buy a handy sized bottle of weedkiller with a spray nozzle and spray all the foliage of the weeds, simple. Round-up is a good suggestion
