The Grass Doctor

can someone tell me where I can find ideas on how to build a model of a indian village for a 2nd grade project

My son has a school project due in a couple of weeks on the sioux indians...it must be about the size of a large shoe box and have tepees, grass, and possibly buffalo....just need some suggestions.

1. Diorama! Make a little scene of what their habitat looked like.
2. Search yahoo images for pictures. This is 2nd grade, not college, so I think very simple could be okay. Use green paper for the grass, use heavier weight paper to make some teepees, maybe use some toothpicks to look like supports. Use something red for a fire in middle.
3. Playmobile makes cool indian figurines you could use those for your indian people and they have tepees etc.. too. You could also cut out magazine pictures and paste to cardboard to stand up. Good luck. Dont forget a longhouse and some canoes.
