What type of grass makes a deep blueish green color?

I live in the midwest and there was a lawn near my place that has a perfect deep-blueish green. It's dense, thick like a carpet and almost fitted a well manicured Bermuda glass. I read from some that the blue hue color is caused by iron on the fertilizer. I used Kentucky blue grass with mixed fescue but not sure if the KBG is that kind of grass.
