How to get business for our lawn mowing?

My friend and I are juniors and we started mowing lawns. We have ads all over and passed out flyers yet we have gotten only one call. We are from Dayton Ohio. Any advice on how to get our business out there yes, I have already tried craigslist. We get nothing. We even already have a website. www.ddlawns.homestead.com. it gets nothin

1. have you tried an ad on craigslist? i have hired an electrician and handyman from there.
2. Talk to some of the local Realtors, they sometimes need someone to take care of the houses they list for sale.
3. Pick 5000 doors with big gardens and consistently farm that area with leaflets. Put an ad in every shop window. Tell your friends. Get referrals from anyone that calls you. Basically stick to a set area and maintain your presence.
