"A people without history is like wind on the buffalo grass" What do you think it means?

  1. i think it means there is no knowing where they come from or where the are going,, it wind will come as it pleases there is not prediction of it.
  2. Wind sweeps the plains, erasing all traces of who or what was present. The grass sways in the wind with no direction and is the silent witness to what has passed before it. The grass can only sway because no history of anyone passing has been left.
  3. it means that people who dont pay attention to history are people who will be easily blown around and swayed, without having any control over where they are going. history tends to repeat itself, and in order to be a good leader, and in order for people to have good leaders, they must know their history in order to make intelligent decisions and be successful as a society.
  4. Its there then its gone
