  2. It's not necessary for you to have a high percentage of ryegrass in the mix, as it is not for a hard-wearing lawn, so you could go for a high-quality, slower-growing mix like Hunter. Look on the box, if it says Tuff grass or similar, that has a high proportion of ryegrass. You have a choice of hard-wearing, fast growing, cheaper, or showy, slower-growing and more expensive.
  3. if there isnt going to be much wear and tear on the grass then it would be good to get thin leaf blade grass such as bents of fescues, but it depends alot on what country you live in, but if you are in the uk i would highly reccomend them becuase they are used on most championship golf courses and bowling greens. but like another guy says, the more showey and better quality, slow growing grass you get the more expensive it is.
  4. Buffalo grass has gotten popular in the south.
  5. if would help if we knew your climate etc... but I've found that tall fescue is resilliant and nice.. doesn't need quite as much water- even in desert terrain. Its got a beautiful color too... Most people actually go a little cheaper and pick a tall fescue mix..
