Why are the squirrels digging holes in my grass lawn even after putting seeds for them?!?
how do I stop it!!............. cant put a fence. They eat the bird seeds but still come on the lawn!! Graham you mean they are burrying the seeds in the lawn??!! NOOOOO lol

- Actually haha... Squirells burry seeds... for the winter, so that could be why.
- Yep, squirrels store their food for the winter. It's been said that spreading blood meal or bone meal (used as fertilizers) on the lawn sends the squirrels elsewhere.
- right, they're trying to bury stuff for the winter, that'ss how they survive. sometimes they actually dig up flower bulbs and use them for food. not a whole lot you can do.
- Nature I'm afraid! We had a squirrel once that persistently buryed the same nut in each of our flower pots one after the other! You could try catching the squirrel in a squirrel cage trap and taking him elsewhere, or trying to repel him with a squirrel repeller.
