Can cat grass get TOO MUCH sun?

I bought a cat grass kit the other day, I kept it in a warm, dark place after putting the seeds in the dirt, as the instructions told me. I looked at it this morning and it was beginning to come in. I didn't have any place to put it indoors,I didn't want him messing with it before long enough, and little kids are near. So, I put it outside, and (sorry for such a long question) can it get too much sun?

  1. I'd assume it could get too much sun just like any other plant could..
  2. I've not had any issues with the plants burning from too much sun - though I have had issues with the soil drying out too quickly. Then, when the cat tries to pull a piece off, the entire chunk of soil will come pop out of the continer - with all the grass still attached - making a huge dirt mess. Make sure you keep the soil moist (but not sloppy wet, or you'll end up with mold and it will kill the plant). Full sun should be fine as long as it is adequately watered. I have one of those cat drinking fountains and they have made a little hydroponic cat-grass attachment - you just rinse it off and pop it onto the lip of the water dish and it gros all by itself, with no watering needed. (though you still need to fill the container, as now you have cat/s and plant drinking from the container!) Good luck!
