The Grass Doctor

is there an organic fertilizer for citrus trees ?

I can only find chemical fertilizers, when I do find citrus fertilizers, and I do NOT want to use chemicals. Can I use seaweed ? what else? Thanks.

  1. Hey Sophie, My Father use to go to the Dairy Farm and get a pick-up truck load of composted cow manuer - that with some of your current soil makes for an outstanding fertilizer.
  2. There are, but they are all missing some key ingredients for healthy citrus, mainly iron, magnesium and zinc. You can get these easily enough to add to the mix. Be sure that any of the 3 you get says they are chealated (I know, spelling). This will assure that they are in a form the plants can use. Most garden centers carry E.B. Stone, the link is to an almost identical product that shows what the ingredients are. EDIT. the product through the link is Organic 9
