- good god its called yard maintenance, winter is the best time to lay out fertilizer because it so wet you never have to worry about anything burning up. also this is a good time to set out new mulch or pine needles so that the yard can look like they are being kept up.
- There is alot of maintenance that should be done in the winter months to keep the cash flow coming in. Fall and winter is the time for pruning of trees and shrubs throughout the landscape. Leaves need to be raked up from the fall droppage. Beds can be raked and new bark mulch can be applied. Turf can be limed at this time if need be. If you are in an area which receives snowfall, customers will gladly let you remove the snow from their driveways and walkways surrounding the house after each and every snowfall. Weed control is best done in the winter months so that when the spring growing season arrives, the yard is looking choice. Walkways, driveways, and patios should be blown off weekly with a power blower. You should be spending at least 1 hour or so at each customers property, this way it shows them that you are trying to keep their landscape looking nice. Hope this answers your question.. Good luck! ...Billy Ray
