1. According to this article, you don't need a license to even be a contractor. No landscape license is required in the state of Ohio. Licensing is done on a local level though. I would assume that a lawn maintenance business would not need a license, but i would call up the Ohio Dept of Agriculture just to make sure. Iam giving you a link that states that a license is not required. The paragraph that says a license is not required is in the middle of the article.
