Can a 13-yr old work at fast food restaurants?

This summer, i really want to earn money so that i can buy things i want. I don't want to mow lawns, babysit or wash cars...i was wondering if i can work at fast foods like dairy queen or mcdonalds. Can I?

3. no you cannot, the youngest you have to be to work at any place (even some fast food places wont allow it) is 15 you CAN get a job at 15 at a local grocery store doing like the bag boy job stuff....but you CANNOT get a job publicly at 13 thats the law.
4. it depends because if your parents own it then you have to be 14 and if they dont you have to be 15 and have a perment. also i work at my step dads restaurant and im 14 thats how i know
