Is a 15-30-15 plant fertilizer okay for tomatoes and peppers, and what do the little hairs on tomato plants do?

1. Any fertilizer you use is okay. All of it will help the plants. The hairs on the plants are to protect them from the wheather, bugs, among other things.
2. go easy on the peppers...too much nitrogen will produce big green bushes with no peppers...i dont fertilize them till a couple on each plant are over an inch long...
