My leaves on my baby tomato plants turned purple do I need Tomato Fertilizer or Epson Salt?

I hear that epson salt acts as a fertilizer like food for the plant:) I put coffee grinds in the pot as well

  1. seedlings require 16 hours of light and foliar spray of either seaweed extract or fish emoulsion misted on a daily bases use a very weak solution of about 4 drops of either in a quart sprayer. after they are hardened off ( outside and planted in ground or large pots you can increase the strength and spray once a week. this should also solve your purple leaf problem
  2. Just buy a water soluble fertilizer, and stop with the snake oil.
  3. Tomato leaves turning purple is a sign of phosphorus deficiency. Neither Epson salts nor coffee grounds will supply that. Feed them a high phosphorus soluble fertilizer, not epson salts. Epson salts is high in magnesium, and higher in sulfur. Both are trace minerals, meaning your plants need just a trace of them.
