How many weeks should I give before fertilizing again?

How many weeks should I go before I fertilize my lawn again. I use Scotts fertilizing products, and put down my first Application on April 8. I'm figuring 7-8 weeks, but I'd like your opinions? Is that to long, or to short? When should I put down my second Application? Thanks in advance.

1. I fertilize mine about every 6 weeks.
2. Most fertilizers are to be used in 6 week intervals. Read the bag of the fertilizer you laid or ask someone in the garden section of HomeDepot or the equivalent. If you use it more than every 6 weeks, you can burn out the grass, so be careful.
