- 1 - How to start a lawnmower. 2 - How to walk a straight line.
- How to do basic maintenance on your equipment. Watch out for dog poop...really Settle on a price before you do the work...your fair deal may not be theirs Wear good, safe shoes...many people lose toes this time of year Have plenty of water on hand sunscreen, bug spray, a hat and shades
- Print yourself out some business cards or leaflets to give prospective customers so they can contact you when they need you. Start canvasing now as people might be going away during the summer and may need someone to mow their lawn while they are away as well as do other odd jobs. Keep a look out for lawns that need mowing as these might be the easiest customers to get as they may not have the time themselves. Always do a good job, be reliable and be courteous. Business grows from word of mouth and can spread quickly. Good luck with the venture!
