Do some aquarium plants not benefit from adding liquid fertilizers?

I say that because I recently bought some Seachem Flourish from my LFS and it seems my Amazon Swords are doing worse than when I first started adding the fertilizer supplements. All my other aquarium plants(Water Onion, Cabomba, Anarchris-however u spell it, and Jungle Vals) benefit from it, except those.
