Do you have kids in your neighborhood that will mow lawns for money?

When I was a kid I mowed lawns for money and delivered newspapers on my bike. Adults seem to be doing these things now. Lawn care workers and newspapers delivered by vehicles. I'm sad my kids are not going to be able to do these things.

1. I have adults who do my yard work because they are out of work and need money for food and rent. I think this is more important than a kid's extra spending money.
2. Nowadays kids prostitute for money.
3. There are people who will still do that...my kids have a long list of neighbors who want them to shovel snow, and who want them to mow lawns. One thing that hampers kids mowing lawns today is their schedules. When we were kids, there were not the level of organized sports and activities that there are now. We had music lessons if we were lucky, little league baseball in the spring, football in the fall and that was pretty much it. Now so many other things are competing for kids' time year-round!
4. You have got to be kidding, all we have is chubby, pasty white dough boys who you only see going to and from their house with a soda in one hand and rented DVDs in the other.
5. I remember those days too. It wasn't that long ago..maybe 3-4 years that the kids stopped delivering papers. My grandson doesn't have many opportunities to earn money. He goes out to offer to work for people, but they do their own work. He even tried in the winter to showel the snow, but still nothing. Most of them have snow blowers. Also notice how there are less and less places for kids to go to have fun? There used to be so many places for them to go. Arcades, and sweet shops or candy stores. Ice cream shops are a thing of the past with 31 flavors here. I have rolled an idea of getting a place together for them to go to, but my ideas are so sketchy....it may never happen.
