Does wheat germ grow into a type of grass if you plant it?

If so where ca i buy some?

  1. wheat germ is wheat. you can buy it anywhere seeds are sold or get it free after a field has been harvested. some of the grain falls on the ground.
  2. You don't plant wheat germ. It wouldn't grow. It's only a part of a kernel of wheat which is what a wheat seed is called. If you plant wheat seeds, you get wheat which does look sort of like grass as it grows. You might have to look at a farm supply or feed place to find wheat to plant. It isn't something a garden centre would usually have.
  3. Nope, it is part of the seed, you need the whole seed to grow. Most health food stores sell it.
