How to get better Performance/Speed/Power out of my 1989 Chevy C1500?
I am looking to put some money into my truck, and want some suggestions. I am only 16, and this is just a beginner truck.I am working my way up to one of our 2009 Chevy Silverado 3500HD's =). My truck has a 350 cu. in. 5.7L V8. Please include links to the product. I want to spend around $100 at this time because me and my bro are in the lawn care business, and the grass dosen't need to be mowed yet. But i will will be looking to spend around $500 once the mowing starts. I was thinking about a K&N air filter( well off brand most likely) it already has a cherrybomb muffler(glasspack) not to tute my own horn, but it sounds sweet. One of my brothers suggested a diffrent axle. If i did get one, which one, what am i looking for. and what website?

- either swap the intake or change the muffler(s) <-(if duled out) andysautosport.com flowmaster.com
- I have an '88 with the same engine. This is what I have done so far and noticed an increase in gas mileage and a lot better acceleration and sound. Borg Warner tune up parts, an Ebay cold air intake for about $45, slightly larger rear tires, and a flowmaster muffler. A glasspack muffler would be even better along with no catalytic converter but I need my truck to be legal. I also use synthetic oil, I hear royal purple is the best but I've been using valvoline. All of these parts can be found at your local parts store except for the air intake. Good luck and have fun!
