What is a safe fertilizer to use on plants grown for cats to eat,cat grass, rye seed ,lettuce,cat nip,?

I want to grow these plants for my cat but they are not doing well,sprout and die.I have miracle grow but do not think that it would be safe for a cat to consume. I have miracle grow but have not used it because i do not think it is safe for cats.My cat does eat the plants that is the reason for growing them and they are in a sunny window.

  1. If the seeds are sprouting and dieing , the problem may not be the miracle grow fertilizer. If growing the plants in house , have near plenty of light or one of those blue grow light bulbs. You may have a problem with the soil. The problem may be using the Miracle grow too soon. I would wait until the plant is 4 or 5 inches tall before applying the water soluble Miracle grow. Better yet , you might be able to find a book at local library on how to grow house plants that would have better advice than me. Do not let cat drink the miracle grow . The plant that grew from the miracle grow should be safe for the cat. I assume you take your pets to the vet , you could probably just call the vet's office and they could tell you if it is safe. Hope you have a GOoD day ! Oh yes. growing catnip will probably attract the cat. The cat may kill the growing catnip.
