I am curious about what type of grass seed to use?

Im trying to get my front yard to look nice this summer, and I have alot of patches that need filling what type of seed can anyone recommend for grass, something low maintenance. thanks

1. I use that "Lawn patch" that is green fluffy stuff you throw down and water everyday for bare spots- works GREAT! I want a pretty green lawn too. Lots of info by searching the web/ I actually got my info this year from a Sunday sales flyer that gave the steps to a pretty lawn- I am heading out to put my Step 1 crabgrass preventer on tomorrow! (well, if we dont get that 4 inches of snow that is)
