The Grass Doctor

PLEASE HELP !!!! Which job should I take?

I have 2 job offers on the plate. 1 is Comcast. I would be an inside customer service rep. it pays 12 an hour plus some commissions. I get free cable and it is very close to the house. the work load is not very stressful. option 2 is an outside salesrep for scotts lawn care. i would make 620 a week salary plus good commissions. gas would be reimbursed for my driving. workload march thru june is hectic. scotts net income has also dropped over the past 3 years in extreme amounts but net sales steadily increased. plus it is further away from where I live now. my previous job was commission only outside sales which i was 'ok' at. any advice would be appreciated.

  1. You shouldn't ask us. You should decide which is the better choice for you. Do you have issues with making decisions? The comcast would be more stable unless they start laying off.
  2. I would go with comcast in this economy. pay is not great but it would be steady source of income. Your job at scotts would have irregular income. heavy in spring and falling off rest of year. And no amount of money reimburses you for wear & tear on you auto. Also people will chose to watch tv and do their own yardwork.
  3. uhhh shouldn't you be looking in the mirror and asking yourself this ? but since you ask for my opinion, comcrap sucks. and i know at least 5 people who recently cancelled their service with them and renewing with directv. soo yeah if they do start laying people off, you'd be one of the first to go because your a new employee.
  4. If I were making this decision, I would probably go with Comcast. It seems more stable than the Scotts job.
