  1. Put down some concrete and then paint it green
  2. You might wanna bite the bullet and get a pro out there, I recommend Weedman lawmcare. If you have been doin it yourself and getting nowhere, it might be time to get a pro.
  3. Install a sprinkler system. My neighbor got one for a damaged lawn and it turned really green and healthy. If you can't afford one, use a movable one, the hose or a watering can.
  4. it depends, if your lawn is in direct sun, or if it is in shade, or if it is covered by half at once or if its sunny half the day and shady the other half, there are a veriety of different seeds to order and plant that you can get on the internet, also check out your local florest, they could probobly give you some useful advise
  5. BEFORE...you do anything, you should get yourself a container/zip-lock bag and a spoon. Walk around your entire lawn and pick about 8-10 different locations. Dig about 2-3in below the surface and place the soil samples into the container, mix em all together. Now, take them to your local nursery and get a soil sample test. Sometimes they provide it FREE, sometimes its $20 or less, sometimes they will have "do it yourself" kits. You can also look up 4H or Cornell Cooperative Extension on the web. This test will tell you exactly what your lawn needs, what the PH is (this is CRUCIAL for any lawn) If your PH is off in either direction it will affect how your lawn takes in any/all products you might put on it during the entire season. Start with the test, then go from there. NEVER NEVER walk into a nursery and have a salesman sell you a 20-50lb bag of ANYTHING unless you have the test done first. You will be throwing your money away!
  6. Top dress with dehydrated manure, dethatch, aerate, and follow a 4 step program such as scotts.mow short in the spring and fall, long in the summer.water deeply, less frequently, and water in the morning rather than the evening.
  7. You have to spend a little extra money to do that. So many ways to go. Professional are probably all over your area. They're like hungry fish waiting. But if you want to do the extra work and if you have the patients for it, there's a lot of DVD instructions in your local library. Go for it and have fun. They have good tricks and advice. I like the old guy DVD the most, he's got all these kind of concoctions that he uses to his yard. He even gave his grass beer and cola. (Sorry I forgot his name). It make sense and it works. Go on amazed your neighbors and be the greenish on the other side of the fence. Here, we can't explain everything. It will take me forever to do so. I bet you don't want to read on it.
  8. Check with a Nursery & see what type of grass you can use, in your locale, that would give you a greener lawn, but you'd have to fertilize often, & put on weed killers & have some sort of an Irrigation system. So, it'd be something you'd have to work hard to achieve as well as to keep up. They sure are pretty, though.
  9. Water is the answer in keeping a beautiful lawn. Water about 30 to 40 minutes per each section of your yard. If you live in a 100+ degree area of the county, you will need to water twice per week. Rain does not always give you enough water. If you can afford it, install an automatic sprinkler system so you will not have to worry about watering. It is worth every penny. Mow once per week on the same day, set your mower at 2-1/2 to 3, water after you mow.
  10. Set your sprinkler at a certain time, and let it water your lawn for about 30 minutes a day. Then make sure that you cut it about twice a month 'cause if you let it grow out wayyy too long,.. it may look nice on the top but when you cut it, its gonna be brown.. and ugly. So just make sure to water it and cut it =) GOODLUCK
