2. Ammonium nitrate. It is such a powerful explosive because it contains both an oxidizer and an oxidant. The oxidizer supplies the Oxygen (the nitro group) and the Oxidant (the ammonium group) is the "fuel". Most explosives operate in this fashion, and most use nitro groups as the oxidant (TNT = Tri-Nitro Toluene).
