what's the best grass type pokemon for diamond?

Since I foolishly chose pipper at the start I need to find a good grass type pokemon to face off with the elite 4. My roster contains luxray, kadabra, rapidash, staraptor and empoleon so far. I do realize that I'll have one legendary to add as well and will need to decide who will get the boot to make room for it later. Thanks in advance :)

1. Roserade, great sp atk and good moves too. Roserade is obviously the best easily-accessible grass type in the game. Note the easily-accessible part. There are plenty of other good ones if you're willing to trade around using wifi, but Roserade should be good enough.
2. Shaymin, by far. it learns the best best attacks, and has brilliant stats. but is without a doubt, the hardest to obtain.
3. I have a Roserade. It has done me well. It learns some good moves as well.
4. if i were you, i'd take out staraptor and put in the legendary and tropius (a grass/flying type). if you are really attached to the staraptor, however, and just want a grass type, shaymin is the best. however, you can only get it through cheating or hacking (or trading with someone who's done that). roserade's pretty good, but personally my favorite grass type is abomasnow (he's grass/ice, and it doesn't look like you have an ice type yet either). tropius: very high hp, good def, low attack and speed shaymin: very high everything. roserade: very low hp, very low def, low attack, high speed and sp def, VERY HIGH SP ATT!! abomasnow - good hp, high sp attack and attack, low speed.
