The Grass Doctor

Does putting ketchup in my dog's food help to eliminate the urine spots in my lawn?

Somone told me that it affects the pH and therefore helps reduce the number of brown spots... I'll give anything a try... and she seems to like it!

  1. This is one I have never heard of. i would not be trying it though. With all of the salt and preservatives I can't think it would be too good for the kidney's.
  2. No. The only thing that works is hosing down the spot right after it happens.
  3. if the dog is leaving spots after it pees, u must give it more water. ketchup will make it worse
  4. Don't feed your dog any type of human food, ketchup contains salt and preservatives and doubt it will help the dog pee, just make sure she has plenty of water,
  5. i never heard of that before. I wouldn't though because of the acid content in the catsup and the other crud that they put in it to keep it fresh at the factory. Theres a high salt content in catsup as well and salt is not good for dogs.
  6. Yes ,I read it in a book I have a kennel so I have never tryed it
