- Horse poo, cuz it gotz da minerals in it. Urea iz da caustic chemical dat will make da ph of da soil very low and acidic, which iz bad for da plantz.
- Horse apples that have had a chance to break down a bit (or heifer dust composted) would be better. But the key word is composted. Even the straight poop is enough to burn them daisy's. When a farmer takes the stuff to the field in the honey-wagon (aka spreader brand name) it's broadcast in a pattern and then tilled to mix in the soil. When spreading it wasn't an option for one farmer I knew of in Wisconsin, he unloaded it into a pile that sat untouched for a year. I would then mix it 50/50 with sand for the best dirt to grow anything I wanted without chemical fertilizers of any sort. Never had problems with buds that didn't set for fruit or veggies. Now you can't get off that easy with this answer though because as you notice I used proportions in making my dirt. You also noticed in the spring the dog piles that escaped notice have broken down some and there's some super green spots that don't have the particulate matter in them at all next to that tree that gets the shots at all winter. Summertime the golden showers make burn spots while the land mines that block the sun stay concentrated till the bugs and birds wear them down. And all is not equal between mice an men, horses and heifers, etc. Concentrations can be affected by diet and fluid intake of each secular beast as well. Mix a little herb with the dogs water and it becomes less acidic. Suck down a few barley pops and Chrystal Gayle's don't stain (vitreous) china after the second time. I just hope your science teacher starts to work with you on writing cause as crappy as the project seems, well just proof read your work a tad and take your time. Don't put it off till the last minute so you can take your time and use the on line spell checker or check the math that you may have to use. I in general don't answer questions that are poor in spelling. But I think this answer may be of some use to somebody, and not just yourself.
