  1. It all depends on where you live, In Australia is would have to be Sir Walter Buffalo grass. If you live in the USA then I don't know.
  2. Don't know if this brand is available where you live but, Scott's is one of the better ones that I've used.
  3. RUN TO RONA. They sell a grass seed that is very sturdy, produces a great ground cover and is guaranteed to grow, even on concrete
  4. kty blue grass
  5. You have to mix grass seed to grow a beautiful lush and hardy lawn, best to seed in spring after all danger of frost is gone. 50% Kentucky Blue Grass seed for lushness 30% Red Fescue Grass seed for durability 20% Perennial Rye Grass seed to prevent erosion These grasses will grow in any climate. (ryegrass provides a quick green cover that prevents erosion, while the slower germinating bluegrass and fescue germinate underneath) First you have to loosen the top 4 inches of soil, best to use a rotor tiller. (if you have poor soil, add top soil and till in) Rake to remove stones, twigs, weeds, then rake in fertilizer (2 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet) then level out soil. Thoroughly water with a gentle spray and let soil settle. Now you're ready to seed, use a seed spreader, use half the seed mix and walk in straight lines then the other half and go over again on a diagonal. http://www.lovethegarden.com/images/products/evengreen.jpg Then rake soil lightly so the soil barely covers the seed. (you can lightly cover with straw to keep the birds from eating the seed) Water deeply everyday with a light spray, it can take 2-3 weeks before all the seeds have germinated. Don't mow the grass until it has grown about 2 1/2 inches high, then only cut off the top 1/3 of the grass's height.
  6. Which ever seed you choose soak it in water a couple of days before you sow, when it starts to germinate rake the seed in and give it another watering. Birds don't like the seed if it has started to germinate so you wont loose half as much.
