- check with your local Extension Office in the white pages... they can answer all those questions, test your soil, and help you... we can't because we don't want to know where your live (bad on net) so therefore we can't know what planting zone you live in...
- i'm not so sure about soil, but you can't go wrong with springtime
- u have
- Now. Good rich dirt and throw in some poop, No kidding. It will produce very large tomatoes.
- Now!! I planted mine about a month ago and I already have some cherry tomatoes. I also have some bell peppers. I put them in huge pots and used Miracle Grow potting soil with the time release capsules in it.
- Good fertile garden soil, as deep as you can get it. (2 feet deep is great) Raised garden beds are awesome for tomatoes, and when you plant the tomato, take all the leaves off except for the top, then plant it deep, with just the top leaves showing. Plant them after your areas last frost date.
