Is driving a car similar to mowing the lawn with a rider?
I get my temps in a week and a half and I was wondering if driving is somewhat similar to mowing the lawn on a rider with the steering wheel? Please state the similarities and differences. (I'm not stupid so do not state the obvious ones) 10 points to best answer.

- A car is easier to drive than the riding lawn mower. The steering wheel turns easier. Oh, and you don't smell like a lawnmower after driving a car. Other than the obvious differences, it's not too much different.
- Not really - the obvious similarities I'm sure you already know. Driving a car requires much more alertness about the other vehicles and obstacles around you, your speed and avoiding distractions.
- Nope. Riding mower, 300 pound, slow and standard braking system without the worry of other mowers and people cutting you off or getting in your way. Vehicle, 2 tons, fast and equipped with a lot of features that you must understand how to use and control with the worry of other vehicles and people cutting you off or getting in your way.
- It requires a LOT more concentration. In a car you must properly deal with road signs, road markings, other road users, pedestrians, cyclists, stray dogs, children, potholes, etc... all while hurtling along at speeds a mower doesn't reach. And you must remain focused to compensate for those "drivers" who think that driving is easier because it's easier to turn the steering wheel (not always true, btw) ;)
- In theory - YES In practise - NO Lawn mower steering is more direct - offer better visibility - you can drink on a lawn mower (not recommended) - a lawn mower earns it's keep. Cars offer up a totally different set of dynamics. They go a lot faster - are eminently more dangerous - are eminently more fun to drive - require more maintenance - use more gas - have more safety features - carry more people - can be driven on public roads - you can get laid in a car - cars are harder to steal - parts are more expensive.
- the only thing thats the same is the steering wheel. in a car, there is a gas pedal. on a lawn mower, you go as long as you arent on the brakes. and cars go alot faster. dont get stressed out about it or anything, driving is fairly easy to pick up.
