I am a teenager in high school and want to start a small lawn care business.?
I have about 10 to 15 hours a week to work on my business which is why it has to be small. How much would it cost? How long will it take? How can I hire people t o do the work. Again this is going to be small so at first maybe only 10 to 20 jobs a week and then eventually move up from there. Since it is Winter I have about 4 months to start this. Where could I get supplies. What supplies are necessary. Thanks.

- If you want it to be done legally, you can't do this. If you want it to be done under the table, it will only cost the gas and supplies. Unless you are 18, you cannot acquire an EIN, or employer identification number. Think of it as a SSN for you business. Without it, you cannot legally hire anyone. There are also business licenses and taxes that need to be paid that I don't believe you can do unless you are 18.
- You can do this,. Don't hire any employees, just get a used lawn mower and some customers. That's all you need, time, customers and the mower. Good luck.
- You need lawnmowers, gas, and investors Get your folks (and the extended family!) to give you say... $100 each. And in turn, They'll get those 100 dollars back plus another 50. Use the money to buy the supplies you'll think you need, and also, advertise!!! A lot. Don't be afraid of working hard, and "hiring" some of your friends who you think will do a good job. Good Luck.
