1. cleaning: 12 months a year, no bad weather, lower start-up costs, lower insurance, more markets
2. I agree with the other response. Plus, not so much money out for equipment and supplies. In this economy, people are more likely to cut back on lawn care and things like that. If you target the right type of offices-small, locally owned businesses that have 'repeat' clients like an insurance agent, attorney, doctor--you have a much better chance of having a stable, ongoing and growing business.
