What kind of gas / gases could this be?
My father has a huge drum in it he puts water, miracle grow, lawn fertilizers , urea, thrive (common household fertilizer in australia) puts it all in a drum closes the lid and leaves it in the sun and heat. Apon opening it it releases almost odor less gas that feels like your lungs are failing and it seems kinda dangerous. Any ideas? If you could add details about the dangers etc it be good ty.

- If it is an odorless and colourless gas then it is most likely hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas is very explosive, so you do not want any sparks or flames near or inside of the drum. When hydrogen gas ignites and combusts, it is invisible, unlike gasoline. If the gas smells like rotten eggs then it is most likely methane, which is also combustible (will explode/combust if a flame or spark is brought near to it). Hope that helps!
