What is the best type of plant fertilizer for freshwater plants?

fertilizer, exceler, iron........... I do not have co2 yet but I will in a few months I need some tips on how to make my plant flourish!!

  1. Fish emulsion. Stinks but works great.

  3. Start with a complete all-in-one liquid fertiliser like Seachem Flourish but depending on your plant growth & type of plants, you may need to add more iron. Every 3-4 months, you can stick root fertilisers into the substrate close to the rooted plants. If you don't have CO2 injection, you can use Seachem Excel to add liquid organic carbon.
