What is the best type of lawn grass to grow in Arizona?

I just moved into a house with a decent sized back yard, when we moved in there was dead grass and now its October and i want to start growing grass, I want a soft very green grass that will stay throughtout the year, what kind should i plant and where is a good place to purchase it?

1. What part of Az? if you are in the desert, the grass is seasonal, meaning you need to over seed in the fall and spring. Perrenial Rye in the fall, Bermuda in the Spring. It is getting pretty late to fall seed, the Rye will germinate, but it may take a little longer than it would have if you seeded about 2 weeks ago.
