Scotts weed and feed fertilizer?
I put scotts bonus s weed and feed fertilizer on my lawn and my lawn is a ton of weeds and it has centipede and st. augustine grass as well as bahia grass and another grass that I am not sure of which is also trying to combat these weeds. I put the fertilizer in my front yard. I watered it immediately afterwards. Will this be ok? I am in florida.

- I live in Oklahoma, but weeds are weeds anywhere you live. If the weeds are as bad as you suggest, you should hire a professional lawn care company. Find one in your local yellow pages. Then call the BBB and the Chamber of Commerce to check for complaints. You can also check with your District Court Clerk for current or past court action for or against them. If you find court action against them as to read the complaint. Also, if they have to sue a large number of customers to receive payment this could mean they provide a poor job. On the lower end of finances, go to a local lawn and garden center and ask for "2-4-D". Read the label to be sure it will not kill any of the grasses you want to keep. Follow the instructions on the label to apply and I would use a small sprayer and only spot spray. Only spray the weeds
- Scotts weed and feed (bonus s) for southern lawns contains atrizine which is for use on st. augustine and centipede grasses, so you may see some damage to your bahias. The st augustine and centipede are crawlers (spreading grasses) so they should fill in any damaged areas.Be careful with 2-4-d products they will kill your st. augustine and centipede grasses and these are your dominate grass so you do not want to injur them! Hope this helps
