  1. first of all it does help to have clientel.....that was my mistake...second you need equipment, buisness cards, and a phone # where cleints can reach you.
  2. You'll need to set it up as business, charging tax, etc. Check with your local county clerk. You may just need a dba form to fill out (doing business as), unless you just want to use your own name.
  3. Go to http://www.score.org/ to find the nearest SCORE chapter. Contact them to arrange for a free one on one meeting with a SCORE counselor about starting a lawn care business. SCORE is a nonprofit organization. They provide a public service by offering small business advice and training. . SCORE's 10,500 volunteers have more than 600 business skills. Volunteers share their wisdom and lessons learned in business. The volunteers are working/retired business owners, executives and corporate leaders.
