i do a lawn care service in iowa. mowing,seeding,etc.. do i charge sales tax?

  1. Unfortunately, the legal anser is yes. Lawn care is a taxable service in Iowa.
  2. And even the sadder part is that you have to give it to the govt. :((

  4. if you're being charged tax, charge tax. you can hide it in the final price so it appears all inclusive, like the job is 39.99 but it's really 37.65 +, or whatever. the government is not going to care when you tell them that you don't charge tax. they'll still make you pay it.
