What would be the best way to get out to people about a lawn care service?

I'm in college and over the summer i work landscaping but im wanting to do something on my own and start a little business with services such as lawn mowing, window cleaning, pressure washing, trash clean up and such. Just some suggestions please!

Try advertising on craigslist and put up flyer's on the bulletin boards at local restaurants and coffee shops. Good luck!
I would go to newer developments, there are a lot of houses in a small space. If you can get a lot of small yards you can charge a reasonable amount so more people can afford it. Most of these people are double income familys and would probaby be happy to pay to not have to worry about yard work. good luck and work hard and you will will succeed.
Make up nice page sized posters from your computer and hang them in high traffic places. Grocery stores, restaurants even the laundry mat. Once you get a couple jobs going, those people will brag you up and the word of mouth method will come in to play.
