The Grass Doctor

Will a bleach/water mix to kill parvo kill my grass forever?

I know that I have to spray my yard and clean with this mixture, but will my grass die off forever? I called a local nursery and they said nothing will ever grow back, the lawn care companys I called said it will eventually return. I'm confused. And what are any other tips for cleaning after he gets better? He has already been taken to the vet and is on medication and seems better already. As environmentally unfriendly as it may sound, all websites have said to clean with a 3:1 ratio of bleach water. It's better to kill the grass as opposed to infecting other dogs. I rent my home, so I don't want to have a professional come in to replace lawn. I'd rather put the work in myself than to pay and arm & a leg for someone else to do it. 1. How big is your lawn? It might be worth it to have the lawn company come in and replace it altogether.
  2. It doesn't sound very environementally friendly to me, but I really don't know much about bleach water mixes seeping into the ground...Is that safe for the water supply?
  3. Get your dog vaccinated against parvo.
  4. Yes,it will grow back.Wait a few weeks then have the soil tilled and add some bagged soil and peat to the mix and till it in.Let it sit for a few weeks and then plant your grass seed.It should come in OK.If you are just spraying a bleach and water solution, the bleach breaks down to just salt, and there shouldn't be enough stop new seed from growing. http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/tips/msg0805284521673.html
  5. www.wysiwash.com I use it in my airing yards and it doesn't kill my grass.
