What kind of fertilizer should i use on my new lawn.?

My Lawn was just hydroseeded about 1 month ago and I am looking to find out what would be thebest fertilizer to use is, and if I should use liquid/spray type or the solid pellit type.

  1. Get the summer blend that Scotts has on the market. It is designed to not burn up the grass. And should help with bugs and weeds.
  2. I can't answer that right now, but I'll ask my husband (the landscaper) when I get home & post another answer tomorrow. Sorry! If it was just hydroseeded, don't fertilize yet. Let the seeds take first & the grass begin to grow. Then use liquid seaweed, found at most garden places or Home Depot.
  3. Go to a local feed mill and just get a 10-10-10- mix in dry form . dont go spending money on those name brands, thats all they are and your paying for the name.
  4. I say you should use non chemical fertilizer.It does no harm to animals,birds or insects.Use decomposed vegetal remains for example.
