Liquid vs solid fertilizer?
any idea in term of eficiency, uptake rate, price...

- I like liquid for house plants as it is easier to control the doage. Same with solid for outdoor use. I have trouble with the hose end sprayers, as they tend to dilute as you go, and then you never know how much was applied where.
- Applying liquid fertilizer is a "now and quick" release for fast acting feeding. Dry granules, applied to the ground, will be a time release formula as it slowly dissipates with the rain, and washes into the soil for slow food and nutrients for plants. Of course, Miracle Grow is a water soulable powder that, when liquified gives a boost for the nutrient starved plant, or a "quick pick me up" for those starving greenery... Just some random thoughts.. Jesse
- Liquid, even dilluted is instant, and absorbed rapidly. Solid/dry, is often systemic and time release designed, though should still be watered and not engage directly with leaves etc, as it too is likely a concentrate. Efficiency is dependant on the purpose, the application, and the plant in question. Price is relative. Rev. Steven
- depends on use home lawns i would recommend a solid since the equiment is cheaper to use and the uptake does not matter as much. Price on shipping fertilizer is much more for solids. Liquid fertilizers are beneficial if you want to apply a pesticide with the fertilizer appilication save time which saves money you need to look at your situation.
