indoor palm tree?

I am planting some christmas tree palms in pots indoors and growing them under HID lights. Should I use Metal halide, sodium, or both? What about the light periods? I currently have them germinating. After germination how long should I wait to fertlize them after they sprout? I will be using a mix of different mediums will good drainage, and then adding a good palm fertilizer. Anyone know of any good palm specific fertilizers that work well? Any input or suggestions would be great. Thanks.
