  1. I use scotts every year..was this the weed and feed? Or only the feed? If it was the weed & feed get some water on it. Even just go out and do some hand watering...if just feed if you applied it to heavy rake it and scatter it around. I never had any problems with scott..it is all I will use..I am in Tx. but I always apply right before rain..or I water right after. Hope this helps. Ciao.....God Bless you!
  2. Weed and Feed, even Scott's can burn if you apply too much. If the lawn seems to be dry or burnt get lots of water on it right away! You may reduce the weed killer but at least you'll save the lawn.
  3. Don't worry, we all have to learn this way to fertilize our lawns. Last year my husband applied fertilizer on our yard and we didn't have watered it that day so we had huge yellow-orange spots but it wont hurt the whole yard, only where the Nitrogen was accumulated and there was no water. Try watering it at least a little after the fertilization every time you do it. If you are not alone try someone coming after you with the water where you already spread the fertilizer or finish it and turn on the sprinkles. When you water it the fertilizer goes to the root where it needs to be and not on top of the grass where it gets burn. By now there is nothing you can do if it is already burned, just try to remove the burned grass from the spots and re-seed there and in a couple weeks you wont even remember your burned spots. GOOD LUCK NEXT YEAR...
