I burned my lawn with fertilizer?

I burned my lawn in the fall with winterizing fertilizer and now that the grass has started to grow again I have big brown/yellow stripes in my lawn... it's the brownest on the block. I'm hesitant to put anymore chemical on because I don't want to make it worse. Any tips?

1. If you over fertilized and burned the grass, then you propbably killed it. Water it well and see if anything grows. You will probably have to reseed the dead areas.
